and former Assistant Secretary of Health
Dr. David Satcher is Director of the new
National Center for Primary Care at the
Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta,
GA. He was 16th Surgeon General of the
United States and Assistant Secretary for
Health, making him only the second person
in history to have held both positions
simultaneously. He is committed to promoting
quality primary care, the elimination of
disparities in health and making public health
work for all groups in the United States.
