Student Volunteer Opportunities

SSWR provides opportunities for students to “earn” their registration fee by volunteering at the SSWR Annual Conference.

Volunteers assist with registration, monitor sessions (handout materials, count the number of attendees in each session, assist presenters with AV needs, sign CEU forms) and provide directions to attendees.

 
Key Deadlines:
  • Hotel reservations deadline: December 20, 2104 OPEN
  • Special Interest Groups (SIGs) requests deadline: August 15, 2014 CLOSED
  • Abstract submissions deadline: April 30, 2014 CLOSED

Important Notice to Speakers, Presenters, Organizers, and Discussants:

The SSWR 2015 Call for Papers is now closed. Please note that all authors will recieve their abstract status notification emails September 2014. If you submitted an abstract and did not receive your email notification during that timeframe, please contact DeeJay Garringo, Program Diretor, at dj@sswr.org.

If your abstract is accepted for presentation at the SSWR 2015 Annual Conference, please be reminded that all presenters, speakers, organizers, and discussants are required to register for the conference and must be current 2015 SSWR members. This requirement is applicable to oral and poster presenters, symposium organizers, symposium paper presenters and symposium discussants, and workshop and roundtable speakers. Please note that co-authors are not expected to comply with this policy. Co-authors attending the conference, however, are required to register for the conference
